Part 1: Historically speaking
As a child, I spent some years living in a city called Zion in northeastern Illinois. In recent years, I did some research about the city and discovered that while some evangelists and ministers of the United States has spent even applause from the small town, well, or had a "connection of Zion." Lindsay Gordon, the founder of Christ for the Nations Institute, Dallas, Texas has been to Zion. It Finis Jennings Dake Dake Bible of Fame. Jerry Jenkins, co-author of the popular "Left Behind" series refers Sion. John G. Lake 's ministry was revived ago when his wife was effectively cured by the founder of Zion, John Alexander Dowie, a minister of the congregation he founded and directed the Christian Catholic Church, founded in 1896. In 1901, with 5,000 followers, Dowie established the "City of Zion" and ran to the city as a Puritan theocracy. In 1904, he revealed that he was ordained by God to be a "First Apostle" and told his followers to anticipate the full restoration of apostolic Christianity. Many thought Dowie was after the nuts and, in 1906, believers in the community of Zion began to decline. Dowie died the following year.
According to the author Frank Viola in his article on the five components of the ministry: "In 19th century England, Christians were ripe to go to the apocalyptic prophecies of the input Millennium age. The shock of the French Revolution had produced Goda has left people who want a reign of peace in the Lord, who did everything right. In the 1824, Edward Irving, a Presbyterian minister from Scotland, began teaching that "the five Ministries" apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers had disappeared from the church and were in need of restoration. According to Irving, the restoration of these ministries would open the millennial reign of Christ on earth. Following the teachings of Irving, he and his followers began the Catholic Apostolic Church in 1832. Its main objective was to restore a "five times Ministries "and enter the millennial kingdom. The church ordained twelve" apostles "which should be the equivalent of the last days of the twelve that Jesus designee. Henry Drummond, a wealthy banker from England, became the head of the church. Drummond took the highest position. . .  "apostle of Scotland." It was prophesied that these twelve apostles would be the last apostles to appear on earth before Christ returns. (This is a throwback to Mani of Persia of the third century has marked himself "Apostle of Light, an" apostle of Jesus, rather than exist on earth.) Eventually these twelve apostles died (this latter died in 1901). After death, the Catholic Church, Apostolic and died in England. In Germany, however, the Catholic Church twelve apostles and took the name New Apostolic Church.
After "Heaven on Earth From Dowie" in Illinois went up in smoke (the city is always elsewhere – Come zeebee!), and after the Azusa Street outpouring in Los Angeles, many Christians began to reflect on what was described as a "five-fold Ministries" and the great outpouring of the Holy Spirit, "which announced the return of Christ. Sound familiar? In his article, Viola goes to describe the historical movement of the movement for which new generations of apostles appeared on the scene, ostensibly to restore the five-time ministry in land.
The churches involved in these movements were more charismatic apostolic nature of the offer price of the old building built in the same building, and then the other. Even today, including the order of 500 years of worship, the office of "pastor" (often called "apostle") nurseries, and singers of repetition, and overhead costs ridiculously high. Yawn. Nothing new under the sun, right?
What is the ministry five times? It is based on "ascension gifts" referred to in Ephesians 4:8,11 "So I said," When He went up on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men … And he gave some as apostles, some prophets, some as evangelists, pastors and teachers … "
The ministry of five times is based on the Doma gifts, gifts of the Ascension. Doma The word comes from the Greek word "gifts" used in Ephesians 4:8. These gifts did not come in dressage Church until the ascension of Jesus (hence the term "ascension gifts"). Before that time, there were apostles, prophets and teachers, but not were gifts from Taming of the Church were gifts from the Old Testament.
Even if I am already aware that this message will not be on some sensitive toes of Theology, I am also aware that there are many Christians who remain in the idea of what it's all about, all we ask is that you have read, to be weighed, pray for him, and extend the grace if you disagree. If this treaty is proving to be a revelation to anyone, people who receive and accept as truth are bound to experience a new and deeper level of achievement in ministry than I ever imagined was possible. All I know is that the "restoration of the five components Ministries "has apparently occur more than once in 180 years, has warmed steadily, not always fully materialize (and with good reason, as you can see) and has been repeatedly repackaged for different audiences.
Please, Lord … do something new.
