What music for worship?
As a worship leader I find it very difficult to select a list of songs. (This is The Vineyard Church.) Pastor wants the music according to our church's "personality" which means celebration, speaking congregation also upbeat and rockin '. Although usually try to start a song like that, because it allows people to make the hardships of the previous week and are now focusing on God, I think this limits what that religion can and should be. In short, I believe that worship music should be about passion, love of God, and intimacy, and although this includes the conclusion, More importantly I receive God's heart and heart connected. When the music is, what do you feel? What music for worship?
I sing songs of praise and worship. Songs that drive me to the steps of the throne of God. I've never been so excited spititally as this weekend. Having all my surrounding neighbors, half or completely lose their homes due to Ike and not yet a pebble in my house appeared. I have much to congratulate him. Even my trash cans were overturned. PWR have lived without for two weeks but I will praise Him in and through this storm. I want to live a life of prayer and includes through song!
